Howl is a cross-platform port of Apple's "Rendezvous" (multicast DNS) service discovery and IP autoconfiguration system developed by Porch Dog Software. More info about Howl is here.
I have made some binary packages for Debian i386 for Howl 0.9.4. The packages were built on Debian Sid (unstable), and may only work on that version. To fetch them with apt, add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:
deb http://interreality.org/software/debian unstable main
Now run "apt-get update". The following packages are available:
